We are pleased to announce that the aftershow party following UWC 8 on Saturday 8th November will be held at Bar HQ, Alexandra Street, Southend On Sea. The aftershow pary will be attended by the UWC fighters including special guests from other oganisations such as the UFC.
Saturday 8th November will see the return of UWC to Southend On Sea, The event will be once again filmed for SKY with some very important guests in attendance.

Saturday 8th November will see the return to UWC HW Champion Stav "Crazy Bear" Economou take on Greek fighter Theo Theodolou in a heavyweight matchup not to be missed. Theo will be making his UWC debut and is now trained by BJJ specialist Ricardo De La Riva. the real fireworks of the month will be taking place at UWC 8.
Saturday 8th November 2008 will see the debut of London based fighter and Karate practitioner Shola Aderinan take on Milton Keynes's Lynton Vassell in a heavyweight contest of professional action. With both fighters making their Pro UWC debut this yet another bout not to be missed....
Saturday 8th November will mark the return of UWC vet and the most experinced mma fighter in Europe Paul "hands of stone" Jenkins who has over 100 mma fights under his belt take on Billerecay based fighter Lee Wieczorek in what will be one of the most explosive fights of the night.
Saturday 8th November will see that debut of Aaaron Lambourne to the UWC cage taking on Reza Meldavian in what will be a welterweight battle....
Saturday 8th November will feature a cage kickboxing bout between two Essex based fighters Lawrence Collins and Danny Coram.
Saturday 8th November 2008 will see American jiu-jitsu specialist Pierre Guillet take on UWC LHW champion Valentino Petrescu in one of the most anticipated matches we have had at UWC. Guillet is a true veteran of the sport has been in the cage with some of the best fighters in the world including Babalu Sobral, However Petrescu has an undefeated record winning the majority of his fights by way of KO.
Both these fighters give great performances every time they step in the cage. Batten is returning to fighting at UWC after having travelled to Japan for his last two fights having lost his last fight against Yoshiro Maeda to a judges decision, he is renowned for his outstanding submissions. On the flip side Cristian Binda is once again returning to the UK, is a young exciting fighter with endless cardio and great stand up, coming from a Kickboxing backgound and having won his last UWC...
Saturday 8th November 2008 will see the return of Ronnie Gill to UWC octagon take on Thai Boxing champion Arunas, both fighters are coming off UWC wins in their last outing. With Gill and his extensive jiu-jitsu experince and Arunas with an extensive Thai Boxing experience, Which style will come up on top.
Saturday 8th November will see the debut of Storm Gym fighter Panikos taking on jiu-jitsu fighter Chris Richardson in a semi professional bout guaranteed to be all out action.
Saturday 8th November will see Dubai based fighter Tam Khan will take on Brazilian warrior Fabio Ferrari in what is expected to be one of the battles of the night. Ferrari is coming off a second round stoppage of Italian Matteo Piran whilst Khan is making the transition to middleweight.

This is a great opportunity for the Southend On Sea Team Suregrip fighter to continue in his path of distruction. Stav is coming off a KO win at UWC 7.

UWC VII saw the return of 93kg Italian powerhouse take on Czech Republic kickboxing champion Frantisek Smetanka for the vacant LHW world title. Serati made easy work of his apponent destroying him in under 1 minute to capture the vacant title.
SATURDAY 31ST MAY 2008 MARKS THE RETURN OF ULTIMATE FIGHTING TO SOUTHEND ON SEA. THE EVENT WILL BE ONCE AGAIN FILMED BY SKY TV AND WILL FEATURE UP AND COMING UK TALENT AND INTERNATIONAL FIGHTERS BOUTS.

UWC CHAMPION SIGNS UFC MULTI FIGHT DEAL
The UFC has signed light heavyweight prospect Ivan Serati (10-2) to a multi-fight contract.
The Italian fighter further deepens the UFC’s 205-pound division, which has cemented itself as the sport’s most talent-rich weight class.
Serati is an aggressive striker with heavy hands who has fought most of his career in the regional UK scene. A UWC world LHW champion, he has all the talent to make as much of an impact in the states as he did in the UK.
